Root & Branch brings its left organising platform to Green conference

The cross-party platform wants socialists split across the Greens, Your Party, Labour and the unions to stop relying on WhatsApp groups and organise in one place. It will be at stand 19 in Brighton from Friday.

Root & Branch are heading to Green Party conference in Brighton this week. We’re a cross-party platform for the whole left, providing resources, directory, events, left media and local and national discussion spaces. Free to sign up at rootbranch.app.

We’ve come a long way since our soft launch earlier in the year, with more than 400 users now, mainly from word of mouth. It’s bursting at the seams and calling to you to come off those pesky WhatsApp groups and find your events, groups and people here instead.

We know there are many socialists that have landed in the Green party, particularly over the last year, thanks in large part to Zack Polanski’s leadership, but we’re still keeping a close eye on Your Party too. Our powerful multilayered map tool now shows which constituency and council district users are in and allows those who have gained the appropriate trust level to access that info and make contact with other users. When the Your Party conference is announced, we’ll be sure to make an interactive programme for that too.

With good socialists fragmented across the Green party, Your Party, Labour, unions and other organisations, a platform where we can all come together and stay in touch is more needed than ever before.
